I’m sitting here in my almost finished home office reflecting back on the year. After every session I tuck my favorite photo in a “highlights” folder just so I can see them all together like this. It’s so fun to look at every single one of you again! It’s like a “Where’s Waldo” book when you scroll down – see if you can find your face.
Looking back on 2019 and I’m just all around grateful. It’s actually a BIG milestone for my little hobby turned business. I don’t have an official start date since this organically grew on accident – but the first wedding I ever shot was in 2009 so I’m considering this 10 years in the biz! Which is absolutely crazy to me! One of these days I’ll dig into my vaults and share some photos from the early years. All I can say is my skills have grown like your kids!
So here I am thanking each and every one of you clients (old and new) who chose me this year (when there are hundreds of other choices in our area). Here are some fun stats I came across while doing my end of year bookkeeping:
-over 5,000 miles traveled
-282 sessions total
-56 of them being newborns (who I’m reallllly hoping to see grow throughout 2020!)
-80 of them were at my studio (still can’t believe I get to walk downstairs and go to work!)
Reading that makes me simultaneously tired, proud, and humbled!
Sending you all a big virtual hug and thanking you all from the bottom of my heart again for your support. You have no idea how much I love spending time with each of your families. Your support has truly blessed our family and in turn allows us to pass the blessings along (today we are actually picking out the area where the water well is going to be built, happy dance!)
And I’m praising God for leading me into this amazing “happy accident” which has provided me with the opportunity to work at home and be with my babies. So CHEERS to 2020! There’s been an itching for something new the past few months… I’ll continue working on my secret project and will be ready to launch it hopefully early spring. It’s gonna be a good year!
